About Child In Our Hands Preschool & Child Care
Child In Our Hands Preschool & Child Care opened its doors in September 2005 offering Preschool and Child Care to children ages 3-6. In June 2007 we expanded our Center by adding infant care to our programs. As the infants grew we expanded our programs yet again; November 2007 our Toddler Room opened its doors. We provide quality Christian education and care to approximately 40 children in the Jamestown Community and surrounding areas. We strive to continue to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the children of the Jamestown community.
Child In Our Hands Preschool & Child Care is located in the Education Wing of St. John’s Lutheran Church. We believe that children should be treated with warmth and respect. We strive to provide a Christian, caring environment which encourages independence, constructive problem solving and positive self-esteem.
Child in Our Hands is a Christian setting. We offer opportunities for spiritual development through Bible stories, songs and art. We give Thanks through blessings said at meals, devotional prayers, and we encourage children to love each other as God has taught us to. We realize and understand that not all of us follow the same religion, and respect the rights of all to worship in their own way. Our goal is to teach children of God’s love for the entire world and to grow in a way that respects that love.
